2. Methods of Collecting and Processing Personal Data, Purposes of Processing, Legal Basis, and Retention Period of Data
The term “personal data” refers to any specific information about the personal or factual situation of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, data such as surname, address, or phone number.
Personal data does not include purely statistical/aggregated information that cannot be linked to the individual to whom the data pertains, such as the number of users of a specific website.
2.1 Usage Data Collected Automatically During Visits to Our Website
In order for a visit to our website to be possible, like most modern websites, it collects only the data that is automatically transmitted by the browser. These so-called usage data are logged in server log files.
The following data is collected:
- IP address (Internet protocol address) of the computer from which access to our website is made;
- The URL of the website from which our website was accessed (the so-called referring URL);
- Name of the service provider through which access to the website is made;
- Names of files or information being opened;
- Date and time of access and the duration of the session;
- Amount of data transmitted;
- Operating system and information about the browser of the computer accessing the website.
The log file is deleted after 7 days. This is due to security reasons (e.g., to identify unauthorized access). However, we may retain the log file for a longer period if, during these 7 days, we detect an attempt to breach the law on our website. We will retain the log file for a longer period solely for the purpose of clarifying or proving the breach.
We process the data in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
2.2 Website Analysis and Marketing
In order to make the use of our website possible, we use so-called cookies. More details on this can be found in section 4.
2.3 Other Personal Data Provided to Us, e.g., in the Context of a Request for a Quote
In addition to the aforementioned usage data, we collect and process personal data provided by the individual to whom the data pertains, for example, in the context of email communications. In this case, the following personal data may be collected:
- First name, last name;
- If necessary, company address details (street, house number, postal code, city);
- Email address;
- Content of the message sent to us;
- Job title and company;
- Other company data, such as the name and address of the company (or client), as well as other personal data provided to us and related to the person contacting us.
We process this data for the purpose of contacting the individual, based on Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, i.e., consent given by initiating contact with us. Additionally, we process the data for the purpose of preparing and fulfilling the request for a quote directed to us. The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(b) or Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
The content of the correspondence may be subject to archiving, and we cannot definitively determine when it will be deleted. The individual whose personal data is involved has the right to request the history of correspondence they have had with us (if it has been archived). They may also request the deletion of the correspondence, unless archiving is justified by our legitimate interests, such as defending against potential claims from the individual whose data is involved.
The legal basis for processing after the contact has ended is the legitimate purpose of archiving the correspondence for internal purposes (Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR).
Please note that when contacting us via email, we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of the information transmitted. The content of the email messages is exposed to surveillance by unauthorized third parties during transmission.
3. Rights of the Data Subjects (Articles 15-18, 20-21 of the GDPR)
The GDPR grants the individual contacting us and/or visiting our website the following potential rights related to the processing of personal data:
- The right to access personal data;
- The right to rectify or complete personal data;
- The right to erasure of personal data;
- The right to restrict the processing of personal data;
- The right to object to the processing of personal data;
- The right to data portability;
- The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority;
- The right to withdraw consent for the processing of personal data, if such consent has been given.
The principles related to the exercise of these rights are detailed in Articles 16-21 of the GDPR. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with these provisions.
At the same time, we inform you that there are several exceptions to these rights. For example, we cannot delete data if we are legally required to retain it or if it is stored in connection with a contract. Furthermore, we may refuse to provide information and access to data if disclosing such information would reveal personal data of other individuals or if we are legally prohibited from disclosing such information.
To exercise the above rights, please contact us using the contact details provided in section 1.
However, we emphasize that one of the rights mentioned above is always available to the individual — if they believe that we have violated data protection regulations in processing their personal data, they have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (the President of the Personal Data Protection Office).
